HISTORICAL MONUMENTS/TOURISM SITES AND

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

1.           Funtua Local Government has only one historical monument; it is Shigu hill/Mountain by name situated in southern part of Funtua town about 11km; and North West of Maska town e.g. 5km.

2.           The Local Government also has only Mairua motel or Dam as tourism attraction place.

3.           The Local Government is predominantly by Hausa/Fulani Muslim by religion and has many cultures according to the said tribes e.g. Local wrestling, Local boxing, traditional ceremony like naming and wedding. They have traditional occupation like farming, dying, poetry, smith, craft etc.
